The Ten-Pin Bowling Tournaments will run over five days:

  • Monday July 25th, 2011 9:00am-8:00pm
  • Tuesday, July 26th, 2011  9:00am-8:00pm
  • Wednesday, July 27th, 2011  9:00am-8:00pm
  • Thursday, July 28th, 2011  9:00am-8:00pm
  • Friday, July 29th, 2011   9:00am-8:00pm

The complete schedule will be posted at the end of registration.


There will be 2 Ten-Pin competitions: 

League Tournament with averages and handicaps, and a Social Tournament with no averages.

Each participant may enter only one tournament either League or Social. Each participant may then enter each event only once.  Events will be Singles, Doubles, Teams.

1. League Tournament - Open to bowlers who have an established league or tournament average (minimum of 21 games).  The leagues and tournaments do not necessarily have to have been sanctioned but there must be verifiable records of all bowlers participating; their scores, number of games, etc.

League Tournament will consist of 3 events:

  • Singles - 4 divisions: 0 to 149, 150 to 169, 170 to 189, 190 to 300 
  • Doubles - 2 persons (any gender mix) 
  • Teams - 4 persons (any gender mix) 

*Single players will be added to a waiting list and will be later used to form doubles/teams.

Each event shall be calculated on the scratch score plus handicap achieved by a bowler in the qualifying rounds.  This will include singles, doubles and team events.

2. Social Tournament - Open to bowlers who do not play in leagues or tournaments and have not done so since September, 2009 or those players who do not have an established average.  It will be a scratch tournament.

Social Tournament will consist of 3 events:

  • Singles - 2 divisions: Men, Women 
  • Doubles - 2 persons (any gender mix) 
  • Teams - 4 persons (any gender mix)

Each event shall be calculated on the scratch score achieved by a bowler in the  qualifying round.  This will include singles, doubles and team events.

Registration is a two (2) step process.
Step One is to register for the Outgames where you will be asked what sports you will be participating in and if you are attending the Conference. Once your payment of the Outgames fee has been verified and processed you will receive an e-mail containing information and registration links on the individual sport(s) and/or conference.

Rules & Regulations:


Sanctioned by Canadian Tenpin Federation (CTF) and a Moral Support Sanction for non-members of United States Bowling Congress (USBC) and other Federation Internationale des Quilleurs (FIQ) recognized bowling organizations (CTF rule 301).

Rules of Play:

The rules of the Canadian Tenpin Federation (CTF),  Federation Internationale des Quilleurs (FIQand the International Gay Bowling Organization (IGBO) will be used, with some modifications.

"Any issue that is not covered by CTFFIQIGBO or our written rules will be resolved by the Tournament Executive Committee."

League Tournament will be played as a handicap tournament.  Handicaps are calculated as 90% of the difference between the bowler's verified entering average and a scratch score of 230.  Negative handicaps shall not apply. 

Any bowler entering the League Tournament must establish a ten-pin average acceptable to CTF.  As follows:

A.The highest league or tournament average 2010-2011 (minimum 21 games) as of April 1st, 2011
B.If none, the highest 2010 summer average (minimum 21 games).
C.If none, the highest league average 2009-2010 (minimum 21 games)
D.If B and C exist: the higher of the two will be used.
E.If none of the above exist, the highest current average (minimum 21 games) or
F.If none of the above, an entering average of 230 will be used.
G.The bowler's accumulated tournament average for all but not less than 21 tournament games must be used for handicapping or classification purposes if it exceeds the entering average by 15 pins or more.  Failure to report this information shall result in automatic disqualification and loss of winnings, subject to Tournament management discretion. (CTF Rule 319)

The tournament director(s) have the authority to adjust the entering average of any bowler. Average adjustments will be applied as set forth under CTF rules. All average adjustments will be completed prior to the start of the tournament. A bowler unwilling to accept an average adjustment is entitled to a full refund of the bowling sports fee only.

All League participants must show proof of certification of this average.  Official certification of averages can be presented at the time of registration but no later than May 31, 2011.

Please note that you must enter the same average in each event (singles, doubles, teams).

Failure to use the correct average shall disqualify score if submitted average is lower than correct average thereby resulting in a lower classification or more handicap.  However, corrections in averages may be permitted up to the completion of the bowler's first game.

Please send us your certification from an official Bowling association or league, that shows us your name and your highest league/tournament average with at least 21 games, scanned in via e-mail as an attachment (pdf-document) or via mail by May 31, 2011 at the latest.  Please have this certification form signed and dated by your league secretary or president with their telephone number or e-mail address.

All players should bring their own bowling balls and shoes.  Shoes can be rented at a low cost. 

There are free house balls available.  The pro shop will be open.
