Rules & Regulations:

  • 10-minute default rule will be enforced by the Tournament Director.
  • Number of matches per player/team will be determined by the number of entries.  We hope to provide at least 3 matches per event played – no promises!!. (For example: player entering Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles could have 9 matches! If there are a lower number of entries in a category and a player plays up, they could have 12 or more matches!)
  • Players may play in a higher category (Beginners may play in Intermediate and Advanced; Intermediate may play in Advanced; but Advanced may not play down in Intermediate or Beginner and Intermediates may not play in Beginner.).  This is dependent upon the number of entries.  If there are more entries into the competition than expected, the Tournament Director may restrict the number of people playing up a category to meet the time allowed for the tournament.
  • Non-marking court shoes are mandatory.
  • Feather shuttles will be provided for all matches.
  • The use of polycarbonate safety eyewear is encouraged and recommended for all players.
